Handwoven from 2800 Japanese glass beads. The motif comes from my mother's kalaallisuut, her Greenlandic national dress, embroidered more than 100 years ago in Kalaallit Nunaat, Greenland. Woven by hand in a specialist beadweaving atelier in France.

A handwoven cuff composed of 2,800 Japanese glass beads. Siku has a palette that refers to ice. It carries the mountain motif, identified in my mother’s kalaallisuut, her Greenlandic national dress, in the avittat sealskin embroidery made by my mother’s aunt, Atsa Rosa, more than 100 years ago.
